As part of our topic in Reception this term (Summer 2017) we have been learning about different kinds of animals and their habitats. A trip to Tweddle Farm really helped! We had lots of fun despite getting very very wet!! We enjoyed feeding the baby animals and a tractor ride around the farm, and most importantly…. eating our packed lunches!

We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite characters from stories or as a nursery rhyme. We loved baking cakes for Camila the cupcake fairy and making wands.

What an exciting day… On Tuesday 20th December, we visited ‘virtual’ Lapland, we had so much fun! We used our passports to board the aeroplane, it took us to Lapland and we got to explore the surroundings, from making pictures for Santa, to finding presents in the snow, to listening to different noises using lights.

On Sunday 27th November, the children in Reception were welcomed to the church by Father Jim. We sang lots of songs and painted different pictures of people who have welcomed us into school and church. It was a special celebration as we also celebrated the first Sunday of Advent.
