Welcome to Reception

Our teachers are Mrs Vizzard and Mrs Welford.

Mrs Welford – "My favourite days are Thursdays and Fridays because I get to come and teach and play in Reception with all of you special little people. I love to read stories, share books and sing rhymes and songs with you. Although I’m not very good at singing that doesn’t matter because I have lots of fun trying. I also love to dance in my kitchen with family and sometimes my friends too. My favourite thing to do is to set off on adventures in my camper van with Mr Welford and visit the beach where I walk, explore and even read my book!"

Mrs Vizzard – "I teach in Reception on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday where I love to explore the Reception environment with you, learning about the world around us and having lots of fun! I have two children and a dog called Teddy who is very cuddly and soft! We enjoy taking him for long walks in the countryside. We love watching films at the cinema and eating popcorn too!"

We are supported in our learning by Mrs Atkinson – "I enjoy walking with my family at the local beaches. I do love the occasional game of bingo with my mam. I like to watch dancing and football."

Newsletters

Each term we will provide parents/carers with a newsletter to give you an insight to our learning in school and to help you further support them in their learning at home.

P.E

Children can wear their school PE kits all day on PE days. Our PE day is Tuesday and Friday. It is important that children arrive to school in their PE kit (white/purple t-shirt, blue/black shorts/joggers and warm blue/black top and trainers). Remember that there should be no earrings worn on PE days. Please check your child’s name is visible in all items of clothing.
