
Reception pupils at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of sport, teamwork and fun as they took part in their annual Reception Sports Day.
The event gave the school's youngest pupils the opportunity to showcase their enthusiasm and determination through a variety of sporting activities. Throughout the afternoon, children demonstrated excellent teamwork and perseverance, with every participant giving their best effort.
Families gathered to cheer on the pupils, creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. The event was filled with smiles, celebrations and plenty of proud moments as Reception children embraced each challenge with confidence and excitement.
The school thanked the parents, carers and family members who attended and supported the event. Their encouragement helped make the afternoon even more memorable for the children as they enjoyed the experience alongside their classmates.
A spokesperson for the school said: “What a fantastic afternoon at our Reception Sports Day. Our Reception children were absolute superstars, showing incredible enthusiasm, determination and teamwork as they took part in a range of fun sporting activities. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, cheers and celebrations as every child gave their very best.”

Sports Day provided an important opportunity for pupils to build confidence, develop teamwork skills and celebrate physical activity in a fun and inclusive environment. St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School said it was proud of every Reception child who took part and contributed to such a successful afternoon.
